San Giljan Salini Resort    12     Valletta McDonalds     7

(2-5, 4-0, 2-0, 4-2)

The champions were coming from a hard fought draw against Neptunes, and they were given a shake up by a Valletta outfit, who came out strongly, to open up a three goal cushion with a last second flick in the opening session.

Order was restored for the saints in the next two periods of play, as they swept past their opponents, and they continued in teh alst quarter, before the Citizens could add on to their opening session tally, but only when the champions had obtained a winning advantage. Young Andreas Galea stood out for San Giljan, with his hat trick of goals, and his side also fared well in their man ups, converting six from ten. Not so Valletta, who failed in their first four man ups, before finally scoring in their last one. San Giljan had Joseph Galea in lieu of Darren Zammit, with Valletta recovering Michael Cordina, taking Daniel Spiteri’s place.
